Baltimore, MD – Once again, Ron Greenbaum of Mr. Basement will be taking a winter dip in the cold Atlantic Ocean to support Special Olympics Maryland. Starting January 2, 2012, Greenbaum will be participating in the Maryland Polar Bear Plunge to raise money for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
The 16th Annual MSP Polar Bear Plunge has participants earn $50 in pledges then take a quick dip in the Chesapeake Bay to raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland, the state’s largest year-round organization devoted to sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
This year Greenbaum will again be participating in the MD Polar Bear Plunge on Jan 28, 2012. He'll be getting in the icy water to support Special Olympics Maryland. Having a child with special needs, Greenbaum understands the important of causes like these and continues to “take the plunge” into freezing water every year to raise awareness and money.
